Ed Sheeran announced the North America dates for his X Tour on The Ellen DeGeneres Show yesterday. The singer told the talk show host that he is looking forward to touring North America. “The tour is all over the country. I love coming back and touring America. The food’s just everywhere, it’s great,” the singer told DeGeneres. Sheeran‘s tour will began in New Orleans on May 2nd, and it will conclude in Milwaukee on July 3rd. The rock singer will also travel to New York, California, Texas, Oklahoma, Missouri, Nevada, Utah, and more. Fans can visit Sheeran’s website for more tour information, including how to purchase show tickets. Pre-sale tickets will be available on February 16th and general public tickets will be available on February 20th. 

The singer will continue the overseas portion of his tour in Europe on February 13th, and he will remain there until the 17th. Sheeran will then travel to Asia, Oceania, and South America until April 30th. The singer’s X album topped the music charts in twelve countries, including topping the charts in the US and the UK. The album produced four singles including “Sing,” “Don’t,” “Thinking Out Loud,” and “Bloodstream.” “Thinking Out Loud” is Sheeran’s most successful US single so far, reaching Number 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The singer’s X album accumulated more than 430 million streams on Spotify last year. 

Tonight, Ed Sheeran will tape the Grammy’s Stevie Wonder tributeStevie Wonder: Songs in the Key of Life – An All-Star Grammy Salute. Sheeran will perform at the honorary event along with Willie Nelson, Usher, Lady Gaga, Chris Martin (Coldplay), Janelle Monae, Ariana Grande, and more. Each singer will choose one Stevie Wonder song to perform on the Nokia Theatre stage. The tribute will air on CBS on February 16th at 9pm (Eastern standard time). The singer released a statement about performing at the legendary singer’s tribute. “Stevie Wonder is an absolute legend and I am so honored to be a part of this very special night,” Sheeran said. In a few weeks, Sheeran will also perform at the 2015 BRIT Awards on the 25th. The singer is nominated for four awards including British Male Solo Artist, Best British Single (“Thinking Out Loud”), British Album of the Year (X), and Best British Video (“Thinking Out Loud”).
