We already brought you part one of our list of 15 things you probably did not know about Ellen DeGeneres, and now we’re back with part two! Check out eight more fascinating facts about the popular talk show host and comedian that you definitely (probably) did not know below. You might be surprised by what you find out!

Number Eight: She Is No Stranger to Tragedy. DeGeneres dated a poet named Kat Perkoff when she was in her 20s. She broke off the relationship after Perkoff cheated on her; however, she was interested in rekindling things after a break. Unfortunately, Perkoff got into a fatal car accident, and DeGeneres even drove past it without realizing it was her.

Number Seven: She Has Been Sued by Record Labels. DeGeneres was sued by several record labels in 2009 after being accused of playing over 1,000 songs without paying for licenses or being given permission. However, things ended up getting resolved and the suits were dropped.

Number Six: She Is a Vegan. In fact, DeGeneres has been a vegan since she turned 50. She is also actively involved in animal rights.

Number Five: She Is the Only Woman to Have Hosted Both the Emmys and the Oscars. It’s true! In the history of both the Oscars and the Emmy Awards, the only woman to have hosted both is Ellen DeGeneres.

Number Four: She Could Have Been on the Cover of Oprah’s Magazine. Oprah’s Magazine, O, is famous for featuring Oprah on every single cover the issue has ever printed. However, when Ellen campaigned to be featured on the cover, Oprah actually said yes. It was one of the few occasions DeGeneres has been truly shocked.

Number Three: The Role of Dory Was Written Specifically for Her. You might be familiar with the fact that DeGeneres played the voice of Dory in the film Finding Nemo. However, did you know that the role was written specifically for her? Well, now you do!

Number Two: 45 Million People Watched Her Come Out. DeGeneres came out on her own television show. Upwards of 45 million people were watching her at the time.

Number One: She Has Her Own Record Label. Is there anything this woman can’t do? The label is called Eleveneleven.
