Erin Andrews to Co-Host CMT Music Awards

The CMT Music Awards are gearing up, and Hollywood is getting her pretty self ready to go full-on country for a night. This year Erin Andrews, broadcaster of Dancing With the Stars and Fox NFL Sunday will be co-hosting the awards show, alongside Pitch Perfect star Brittany Snow. The show is scheduled to take place on June 10th in Nashville, Tennessee.

Erin Andrews is no stranger to the country scene. In fact, she really knows her way around the rodeo. She presented at the 2011 CMA Awards, assisted in the announcing of last year’s ACM Awards nominations, and she was a special guest at a party in 2010 that was hosted by Blake Shelton. The renowned sportscaster just concluded filming her third season of Dancing With the Stars – a job she landed after having actually competed on the show, during its season 10. And of course her fans on Fox’s NFL Sunday sideline reports are eagerly awaiting her return to that in the fall.

“The CMT Music Awards are one of my favorite events of the season,” Andrews said in a press release. She is a self-proclaimed country music lover. She is from Maine.

Appearing alongside Andrews will be one Brittany Snow. Snow is a movie star appearing in the current Number One movie at the box office (which also boasts a chart-topping soundtrack), Pitch Perfect 2. She appears alongside Anna Kendrick, Rebel Wilson and Hailee Steinfeld. Other projects on her acting resume include an award-winning run on Guiding Light, 2007’s film adaptation of the Broadway musical, Hairspray and the current William H. Macy-led film, Dial a Prayer.

“I’m thrilled to join Erin in hosting what’s sure to be one of the most memorable musical nights of the year,” says the actress, who is 29 years old.

Carrie Underwood leads the 2015 CMT nominees with five nods and will perform on the show — her first live televised performance since giving birth to her first child in March. She is followed closely in the nominations by Lady Antebellum and Kenny Chesney, who each have four nods and will perform, as well. Others to take the CMT stage include Jason Aldean, Luke Bryan, Keith Urban and Florida Georgia Line. All categories are fan-voting, with the ballet open though June 7th.
