Iggy Azalea, Fall Out Boy, Shawn Mendes, Maddie & Tae are some of the artists performing at Universal Music Group’s pre-Grammy showcase. The event will take place at the Ace Hotel in downtown Los Angeles. The artists are expected to perform two songs, preferably their Grammy-nominated music. Iggy Azalea has had an extremely busy Grammy Awards week. The rapper and Jennifer Hudson appeared on Jimmy Fallon yesterday, and performed their new single “Trouble.” The two superstars just shot the music video for the song a couple of days ago.
Azalea and Hudson will also perform “Trouble” at Clive Davis’ pre-Grammy gala on Saturday night at The Beverly Hilton. The gala will also feature Sting, Miley Cyrus, Lorde, Natasha Bedingfield, and Patti Smith. There will be a lot of parties for the fans to attend, but the exclusive parties are on an “invite only” basis. These exclusive events always feature some of music’s biggest superstars. Besides Clive Davis’ exclusive party, the Creative Artists Agency will hold their event at Sunset Tower. Some of the recording artists on the bill include Katy Perry, John Mayer, Kelly Rowland, Nick Jonas, Jared Leto, Leona Lewis, and Gene Simmons. Jay-Z’s Roc Nation will hold its party at a private residence. The event will be hosted by Jay-Z and Beyoncé. Some of the guests on the list include Will Smith and Rihanna. The Los Angeles Convention Center will be the venue for the MusiCares Person of the Year gala, which will pay tribute to Bob Dylan. Lady Gaga, Carole King, Alicia Keys, and Paul McCartney are all expected to attend the event. Beck, Jack White, Norah Jones, and more will perform in Dylan’s honor.
The parties that fans will be able to attend include the Delta Pre-Grammy Celebration, which will feature Charli XCX. Rolling Stone magazine and Google Play will also host a party. The party will be a concert, too featuring performances by The Weeknd, Childish Gambino, Samantha Ronson, and Mat Zo. EDM DJ Skrillex, Lil Kim, Questlove, and Sean Kingston are also hosting pre-Grammy parties in Los Angeles. Some of the Grammy after parties include the Recording Academy Official Grammy After Party featuring performances by Gloria Gaynor, Jessie J, and DJ Michelle Pesce. Red Light Management, GQ Magazine, and Warner Music Group will also host post-Grammy parties.
