A judge has issued a preliminary injunction that prevents Iggy Azalea‘s ex-boyfriend from selling her unreleased music. The rapper’s ex-boyfriend and former music producer, Maurice Williams, was working with music companies in order to release the rapper’s old recordings. Azalea filed a lawsuit last September in order to block her music and alleged sex tape with Williams, from going public. Williams, professionally known as Hefe Wine, owns Wine Enterprises. Williams claims that his company, along with three other music companies, have secured the rights to release an EP recorded by Azalea. Williams says he has an agreement that gives him the legal right to manufacture, sell, distribute, and advertise Azalea’s music.
Azalea’s lawsuit claims that Williams’ agreement is a forgery. The rapper believes the signature on the agreement was originally used in another document, and she never signed Williams’ paperwork. Azalea pointed out a lot of discrepancies from Williams’ agreement. She alleges the signatures on the agreement were in the wrong place. Moreover, one of the attorneys listed as a contact, declared he was never involved in negotiating the deal between Azalea and Williams. Regardless of the evidence discrediting Azalea ever signing the document, Williams said he witnessed the rapper sign the agreement. The case is still pending, but the judge heard enough evidence to stop Williams’ from selling, releasing, and posting music videos of Iggy Azalea until the case gets settled.
Iggy Azalea is currently dating Los Angeles Lakers guard, Nick Young. They started dating in October 2013. Last year, Young spoke about his relationship with Azalea in DuJour magazine, “Growing up I always wanted to be married and have a family, and it’s difficult. Me and Iggy just bought a house. We’ve been getting really close lately. I’ve never been with somebody like this. So, I’m taking it as a challenge.” As a surprise Christmas gift, Iggy Azalea bought Nick Young a 1962 Chevy Impala. The Lakers guard said the couple has discussed marriage a few times. Ironically, Maurice Williams filed for divorce from Iggy Azalea last year. Azalea said they were never married. According to court documents, Williams is seeking to end the former couple’s common-law marriage.
