Kanye West’s New Music Video to Debut in America This Saturday

Kanye West and academy award winning director Steve McQueen had recently teamed up to create a music video for West’s song “All Day.” Fans have the chance to see the video in person at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art starting on Saturday July 25th. The video will be showcased at the museum for four days, marking its debut in America after being showcased in Paris back in March during Paris Fashion Week. When it was first revealed, someone in attendance had recorded it on their phone and leaked the footage onto the internet. But now, fans in the LA area can see the video in much higher quality and hear a new song that is included at the end.

The video features an amped up West jumping, running, and dodging the camera in what looks to be an old warehouse. McQueen (12 Years a Slave) filmed the video in one take. The video also included an unreleased song that did not seem like an obvious pairing with “All Day.” Titled “I Feel Like That,” the song features West both singing and talking. While this song plays in the video, Kanye is sitting on the floor with his head against the wall appearing out of breath.

After a pretty solid promo run during the beginning quarter of the year, Kanye West has been very quiet about his upcoming seventh solo album SWISH. West released “Only One” and “All Day” as singles from the project, previously titled So Help Me God, which both feature Sir Paul McCartney. Both songs had gotten the music video treatment, but the video for “All Day” was never officially released. Hopefully, after this LA premiere, the video will be released online soon for all to see.

First opened in 1965, the Los Angeles County Museum of Art houses over 120,000 pieces and receives over one million visitors a year. The museum will be open from 10am to 7pm on Saturday and Sunday and from 11am to 5pm on Monday and Tuesday. Admission to the museum is $15 for adults, $10 for both seniors (62+) and students, and free for children age 17 and under. The music video will be playing on a loop for the span of the four-day period.
