Lady Gaga‘s boyfriend, Taylor Kinney, proposed to the singer on Valentine’s Day, and she said, “yes!” Kinney popped the question to Gaga after they’ve been dating for about four years. In the past, Gaga has been quoted as saying Kinney was the right man for her, and she said he is very supportive of her music career. “He’s the first man that I have dated that, when up I sing onstage, he cries. That means more to me than anything,” Gaga told The Times magazine in the UK. “Having your lover be your best friend is the best thing ever. We’re boys. I wear his flannels and we eat pizza and watch TV,” Gaga told Ellen DeGeneres during an appearance on her show. The singer added, “And then I play him my next single. He likes it, and that’s our normal life.” Kinney is not just Gaga’s fiancé, he is also an actor and a model. He has appeared on several television shows including CSI: New York, Castle, Vampire Diaries, Chicago Fire, and Shameless.
The Academy Awards just announced Gaga will perform at this year’s show. The show’s producers did not detail what the pop singer will perform on the show. The Oscars will air February 22nd on ABC at 8:30pm (Eastern standard time). Maroon 5‘s Adam Levine was also named a performer at the awards show. The singer will perform “Lost Stars,” which was featured in the film Begin Again. The song is nominated for Best Original Song, and it was written by Gregg Alexander and Danielle Brisebois. Oscar-winner Jennifer Hudson, Anna Kendrick, John Legend, Common, and Rita Ora have recently been named as performers at the show, too. Academy Awards‘ producers Craig Zadan and Neil Meron said the show will feature several musical sequences, and Hudson will perform one of them. Ora will perform “Grateful” from the film Beyond the Lights, and Legend and Common will perform “Glory” (the song also won a Golden Globe earlier this year for Best Original Song) for the film Selma.
Lady Gaga also revealed she is working with Paul McCartney on a “secret” project. Gaga posted a picture featuring herself, along with McCartney and other musicians. The caption on the bottom of the photo reads, “Had a beautiful session with Sir Paul McCartney and friends. Working on one of his many secret projects! Killer musicians, vibe, and lots of laughs.” The pop singer did not reveal any further information regarding the recent collaboration.
