Grimes just revealed she is joining Lana Del Rey on her Endless Summer Tour, which will launch in May. Courtney Love will be the opening act for Del Rey‘s first part of the tour, and Grimes will serve as the opening act for the second half of the tour.
The Endless Summer Tour dates are as follows: The Woodlands (TX) on May 7; Dallas (TX) on May 9; Morrison (CO) on May 12; Phoenix (AZ) on May 14; Chula Vista (CA) on May 16; Los Angeles (CA) on May 18; Mountain View (CA) on May 20; and Ridgefield (WA) on May 22nd. Grimes’ tour dates with Del Rey include Noblesville (IN) on May 28; Tinley Park (IL) on May 30; Clarkston (MI) on May 31; Toronto (Ontario) on June 3; Montreal (Quebec) on June 4; Mansfield (MA) on June 9; Bristow (VA) on June 11; Charlotte (NC) on June 13; Atlanta (GA) on June 14; and West Palm (FL) on June 16th.
Grimes has released three albums, which include Geidi Primes, Halfaxa, and Visions. Her latest project Visions reached Number 98 on the Billboard 200 chart, and it impacted the charts in Belgium (Number 46), Ireland (Number 65), and the UK (Number 67). Some of Grimes’ most successful singles and features include “Genesis,” “Oblivion,” “Phone Sex” (Blood Diamonds featuring Grimes) and “Go” (with Blood Diamonds).
Lana Del Rey has also dropped three studio albums including her self-titled debut, Born to Die, and Ultraviolence. The pop singer’s Honeymoon album is expected to drop this year, although a specific release date has not been revealed. Del Rey’s sophomore album Born to Die has sold over seven million copies worldwide, and it peaked at Number 2 on the Billboard 200 Albums chart. The project produced six singles including “Video Games,” “Born to Die,” “Blue Jeans,” “Summertime,” “National Anthem,” and “Dark Paradise.”
Del Rey’s latest album, Ultraviolence, sold over 180,000 copies in its first week. It entered the Billboard 200 Albums chart at Number 1, and it was led by the hit single “Westcoast.” The other singles dropped from Ultraviolence include “Shades of Cool,” “Ultraviolence,” “Brooklyn Baby,” and “Black Beauty.” The chart topping project featured production from Greg Kurstin (Sia and Kelly Clarkson), Paul Epworth (Coldplay and Adele), and Rick Nowels (Madonna and John Legend).
FDRMX Eyes: From Brooklyn comes the indie rock band, The New Tarot. The quintet has released a music video entitled “Makeup,” which features Julia Garner (The Perks of Being a Wallflower).
