Nipsey Hussle was arrested in Burbank (CA), according to TMZ. The rapper was pulled over for a routine traffic stop, and police allegedly found a bottle of codeine in his car. Codeine is a medicine used to treat mild/moderate pain, and it can also be used as a cough suppressant. It has become a popular street drug, which is commonly mixed with soda and referred to as “sizzurp.” Hussle, whose real name is Ermias Asghedom, was leaving the recording studio, and he was stopped because his vehicle didn’t have a license plate. Once he was stopped, authorities also found out Hussle had an outstanding warrant for driving with a suspended license. Hussle failed to provide police officers with a prescription for his Codeine medicine. Therefore, he was arrested for suspension of possessing a controlled substance, and he was booked for his outstanding warrant too. The rapper was later released, after posting his $1000 bail.
