Number Five: Sparkling Grapefruit Planter’s Punch. Fill a shaker with ice, and add the following: 2/3 oz. lemon juice, 1 oz. each fresh orange juice and fresh pineapple juice, 1/3 oz. each grenadine and simple syrup, 1.5 oz dark rum, and 2 oz. sparkling water. Shake for 30 seconds, then strain over ice into a highball glass. Add three to four dashes of Angostura bitters, and garnish with a cherry or pineapple slice.

Number Four: Pickle Juice Bloody Mary. This recipe takes a classic and amps it up with pickle juice. Into a highball glass, add the following: one dash Worcestershire sauce, one dash Tabasco, and salt and pepper to taste. Add ice, then add the following: 1 oz. pickle juice, 1.5 oz. vodka, 3 oz. tomato juice, and 1/2 oz. lemon juice. Gently stir, and garnish with a slice of lemon and a Gherkin pickle.

Number Three: Lavender Martini. Into a cocktail mixer, pour the following: 3 oz. gin, 1/2 oz. dry vermouth, and 1/2 oz. lavender simple syrup (you can make this by boiling equal parts water and sugar, and then steeping one sprig of lavender in the mixture for two hours). Stir for 30 seconds (gin should not be shaken), and strain into a chilled martini glass. Garnish with lavender.

Number Two: Rosewater Pink Lady. Put the following into a cocktail shaker: 3/4 oz. rose syrup, 1 oz. gin, 1 egg white, and 4 splashes of grenadine. Add ice, and shake for 30 seconds. Optional: garnish with a cherry.

Number One: Sparkling Apple Cider Sangria. Place the following into a large pitcher: 3.5 cups chopped apple, 1 quartered orange, 1.5 cups rum, and 1/2 cup sugar. Stir to combine, and chill in the refrigerator for a minimum of two hours. When ready, take the mixture out of the fridge, crush the fruit, stir in one bottle of dry red wine, one cup of apple cider, and one cup of apple-flavored sparkling water. All set!
