Allen is notorious for his self-deprecating views of his own films. When asked to list his six favorite films he ever did, his response surprised more than a few fans. His six favorite films of his own are 1985’s Purple Rose of Cairo, 2005’s Match Point, 1994’s Bullets Over Broadway, 1983’s Zelig, 1992’s Husbands and Wives, and 2008’s Vicky Christina Barcelona.
